Welcome to the Triple Ace
FAQ Page
1. I joined but why do I have to join the
Google news group for my team? The news group
is how the staff at Triple Ace sends out newsletters and
other important information. 2. Why
do I have to vote for myself 3 times a week? Voting 3
times for yourself does a few things. One it tells
us you are interested in the competition and still with
us :) but it also shows that you are supporting your own
site so others are more willing to vote for you as well.
If you can't vote for some reason (family emergency etc)
let your Team Leader know. You can have one
excused day and still move up if you have voted the
other 2 days for that week. 3. What are
the vote times and what days are we closed? The vote
times are Monday through Thursday, 12am (midnight) till
10pm Eastern time. We are closed for voting Friday,
Saturday and Sunday along with certain holidays.
You can view the holidays here.
4. I have many email address can I vote with
each one? No. Each vote must have a separate IP
address as well as a separate email address. The
IP address is the number your computer generates when it
is connected to the internet. If you would like to
see your IP number you can
click here to see it. (below information is only
exception to this) 5. I have family
members who would like to vote for me but we all share
the same computer and IP address. Is it possible
for them to? Triple Ace does understand how this is.
If you have family members who would like to vote for
you contact your Team Leader. Explain the
situation and give them the addresses that your family
members will use. You are allowed up to 2 extra on
that IP in this way but you must contact the TL
otherwise they will not count. 6. What is
VE or vote exchange and is it allowed? VE stands for
vote exchange. This is where you agree with
another site owner to vote for them and they vote for
you. One way to do this is go to the site and sign
the guestbook and contacting them asking them to view
your site and if they would be interested in veing.
Another way is to use VE Clubs/Boards. This is
where you join up and agree to vote for all members as
they vote for you. Yes we do allow VE :) We have a
list of some VE Clubs that you can check out
here. 7. Can I
email everyone I know and ask them to support me? No.
This is considered spamming for votes and it is not only
rude but will not be tolerated. You may ask your
friends/family if they would like to support you however
if they say no do not continue to write to them with
your voting information. Do not send unsolicited
vote request/reminders to people who have not agreed to
vote for you. This also applies to instant
messengers. You can ask friends to support you but
do not automatically send them this information.
8. I made it to one of the levels and I'm now on
hold. Why is that? All team levels except Sneak
Peek have to have at least 2 fighters to compete.
So if you are the only one competing there in a week you
would be on hold till another fighter joins you.
Championship levels require at least 3 fighters for the
level to commence. If there are not 3 fighters
then the level is placed on hold till another moves up
to join. 9. I need to take a break or LOA
(leave of absence) is that allowed? We do allow up to
2 weeks LOA at all levels except the Championship level
(which includes Classic and Ace). If you need to
take one when you are at that level you will have to
restart at Premier. If you need longer then 2
weeks contact your TL and explain the circumstances. If
we know ahead of time about this we will allow you to
stay but you would have to restart at Sneak Peek level.
10. I have more then one site. Can I
add more then one and do they have to be about
movies/television/or celebrities? Yes you may add
more then one site to Triple Ace however each site must
be on a different team and each site has to go through
the same approval standards. No your site can be
about anything. The competition is inspired by the
movie/television industry but your site doesn't have to
be. 11. I like being part of Triple Ace
but I'd like to join another competition is this
allowed? Yes it is allowed. There are many
great web site competitions out there and we do not
prevent you from joining them. 12. I want
to join the topsite or the Pets Team but not the regular
competition. Is this allowed? Yes this is
allowed. You do not have to join the teams in
order to be on the topsite or Pets team. 13.
I am part of Triple Ace on one team but I really think
my site should be on a different one. Can I
switch? We do try to keep the number of fighters even
amongst the teams but that doesn't mean we don't want
you to be happy. If you would like to switch you
may. Just contact your TL and we'll go from there.
If you switch teams you do start over at Premier level
(if you have already passed Sneak Peek if not you'd
start there). 14. I have a problem with a
fellow team mate, my Team Leader, or other staff.
What should I do? If you have a problem with someone
write to your Team Leader first. They will do all
they can to help you. If they cannot help you then
you may also write to
Mickliv who is the Assistant Manager of Triple Ace
If you are still having problems that neither of these
will work or have not been able to help you then you can
write to the founder,
Emeraldisle. 15. I have a fan site
with Fanfiction on it. What ratings are allowed
and still able to join Triple Ace? At a glance the
highest we'd allow is PG-13 however if it is R rated it
depends on why it is. If it's due to type of
material and rated R due to violence (Such in a Buffy
The Vampire Slayer situation) then that would be
alright. What we want to avoid is explicit sex
scenes, or any thing where someone would feel
uncomfortable in having a 14 year old read. Family
safe is the key. NC-17 rating is strictly not
allowed. 16. I run a website for an RPG.
The RPG is rated for Adults but not the website, can I
join? If the site is for information about the RPG
and the actual writing is done elsewhere (IE:
yahoo groups) then that is fine so long as the
website itself is family friendly. If the writing is
done on site that it is the same as with FanFiction.
So long as it's family safe to read then it's not a
problem. This list may be
expanded upon.
