Welcome to the Triple Ace Rules Page

For Joining*

  1. You must have a web site up and running, it does not have to be about movies.  It must be however your site or part owner of but where you have say in the content on the site.

  2. All web sites must have some content to them;  more then just one page and links to other sites.  A guestbook does not count as a page.  The only exception to this is for the Pet's Team which is by image of the pet only.

  3. Sites should be family friendly.  No hate, bigotry or bashing of others.  No pornography (artwork would be up to the discretion of the founders) or links to sites containing such material.

  4. Web sites need to be primarily in English or have an English Mirror to it.  I am sorry but the founders only speak English and to try and judge your material when we can't understand it would not be fair.

  5. No hotlinking or bandwidth theft, this includes images, music, and other material.  This will be checked.  Hotlinking is when you link directly to another person's site without their permission to display things on your site. For more information on what bandwidth is and how you should link to such things click here or here.

  6. No links to web cams (personal and/or adult orientated. Ones going to places like animal exhibits, forest glades to catch fairies on film, natural wonders, etc are allowed).  No warez,  or cracks are to be on your site.

  7. You must have a working email address for us to be able to contact you with.

  8. You may belong to more competitions then just Triple Ace.

  9. You may join with more then one site however they must be on different teams.

  10. In compliance with COPPA Laws if you are under 13 you must email the founders for a parental consent form before you can join or participate in any way with this competition.

Once you are approved*

  1. You must join the google group for your team.  This is not optional.  This is how the founders and team leaders will stay in touch with all members of the competition.  If for some reason you have trouble joining the google group please let the founder or your Team Leader know and we will help you out.

  2. You must place a banner/button or text link on your site showing that you have been approved and have it linked back to Triple Ace (this can be on the index, vote page or spirit page.  Someplace we would find it easily).  You will also need to add either a vote banner or text link of your choice linking to your team's/championship vote page.  All images by Triple Ace are to be saved to your own server.  Do not link directly to them (the only exception to this is with the webring)

  3. No major changes to your site without informing your team leader of such.  Standard updates are fine.  For example your site is about Lord of The Rings and you then change it all to a Sean Astin tribute site; this would be a major change.

  4. Leave of Absences are permitted except in the Triple Ace Championship levels (Classic and Ace).  You are permitted to take a 2 week LOA just let your team leader know if you need to do this.  If you are gone longer then 2 weeks you will be moved back to the Premiere round to start over.  If we do  not hear from you by 4 weeks you will be removed from the competition.  If you go on an LOA no one moves up in place of you.

Voting:

  1. Voting is Monday through Thursday 12am to 10pm eastern standard time. All votes received between 10:01pm and 11:59pm will be deleted.

  2. You may vote for as many sites as you would like to vote for however only 1 vote per site per IP and email address.  If you have more then one email address you need to have more then one IP address as well.  If you have family members who would like to support you and you share one IP contact your Team Leader about letting them know these email addresses (2 extras can be added).

  3. All scores are reflective of actual votes.  So if you get 19 votes you will receive a score of 19.

  4. Each fighter must vote for themselves a minimum of 3 days a week in order to remain in the competition.  If you cannot vote for some reason let your Team Leader know.  Otherwise after one week you will receive a warning, after two you will be removed from the competition and you would have to start all  over again. (Special circumstances may over ride this rule)

  5. Vote Exchange is allowed and encouraged.  It is a great way to meet new people, see new sites, and increase your scores.  Just remember that when you agree to vote exchange with someone (either privately or with a board) that this is a promise.  Do not break it.  Team Leaders are allowed to inform vote board owners about any possible vote grabbing done by their members.

  6. Triple Ace will take scheduled holiday's throughout the year.  During holiday's self voting and cheering is not done.   To see the scheduled holidays check out the holiday calendar.

Rounds*

  1. Everyone who joins starts at Sneak Peek which is the qualifying round.  Here it doesn't matter how many votes you get but you must vote for yourself 3 out of 4 days in order to qualify and move up.

  2. Once at Premiere though votes are important.  The two highest scores will move up at the end of the week so long as they have voted the minimum amount (if not next highest).  All others will remain at Premiere to try again.  There must be at least 2 fighters at this level otherwise the level is put on hold.

  3. Encore works the same way as Premiere.  The two highest scores will move up at the end of the week so long as they have voted for themselves the minimum amount.   All others will remain at Encore to try again. There must be at least 2 fighters at this level otherwise the level is put on hold.

  4. Box Office though is different.  Only the highest score will move up to the Classic round.  The second and third place winners will try again to become a Box Office Hit the rest return to Premiere. There must be at least 2 fighters at this level otherwise the level is put on hold.

  5. The Classic Round is the first level in the Championships.  The two highest scores here will be declared Classics and move up to the Triple Ace level.  All others will return to their teams at Premiere level. Classic level there must be at least 3 fighters for the round to be held otherwise the level is put on hold till more join.

  6. At Triple Ace level only the highest score is the winner.  All others will return to their teams Premiere level. There must be at least 2 fighters at this level otherwise the level is put on hold.  If a winner wins 3 times in a row they are declared a Triple Ace Champion and are then eligible for the Tournament of Champions competition and are retired until the TOC which happens twice a year. However they can still earn points for cheering for their team etc.

*Pet's Adventures and Escapades works a bit differently

  1. All pets/animals must be owned by the person submitting the image. Image size is max. 200x200

  2. As with the other teams all pets must receive at least 3 votes per week (Monday through Thursday) to remain on the team.

  3. If the pet has a site the site must be in English or have an English mirror and be family friendly

  4. You can have more then one pet on the team unlike the other teams were it's one site per team.  You can have up to 2 separate pet images however if you have one image for 2 pets (IE:  two dogs laying together) then that is considered as 1 pet image.
